Sherman Dixie Plant Trip

Civil engineering students from the University of Evansville toured the Sherman Dixie Concrete Pipe Plant in Chandler Indiana on March 13, 2008. The tour was hosted by Sherman Dixie, a pipe manufacturer headquartered in Nashville. The Chandler plant manufactures large reinforced concrete boxes and circular conduits for major storm water and sewer projects. UE civil engineering seniors working on the Warrick Drainage project were part of the group touring the facility to obtain information to assist them in completing their design. Steve Sherwood, P.E. arranged the tour; Steve is a UE civil engineering alumni.
