UE Engineering Students Receive Outstanding Civil Engineering Awards

UE salutes engineering students Matt Melton and Amanda Ranck who received Outstanding Civil Engineering Awards at the recent meeting of the Indiana Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). This award is given to exemplary students at universities with engineering programs. Melton and Ranck were selected for the award by the UE civil engineering faculty for their outstanding contributions to the Civil Engineering field through their work in ASCE, their employment in the field, their academic performance, and service to the field. The two received their awards from Dave Devine, section president, during the Gala Luncheon portion of the event.

During the afternoon session, the “Stockett Creek Subdivision” Civil Engineering Senior Design team presented their storm water design as part of the Student Design Presentation Competition. The presentation team consisted of UE students Nick Waninger, Jared Wilkerson, Brittany Vrzina, and Josh Culver.
