New Department Faculty and Staff

James Allen, P.E. joined the Mechanical and Civil Engineering Department in August and will teach courses in civil engineering. Jim has a bachelors degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, a Masters Degree from the University of Oklahoma and is in the process of completing his Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati. He brings to the University of Evansville (UE) several years of structural engineering experience and will teach both engineering mechanics and structural engineering courses.

Anita Reitz joined the Mechanical and Civil Engineering Department in August as the new Administrative Assistant. Anita replaces Kathy Overfield who accepted a new position in UE’s Student Life Office. Anita brings several years of experience to UE including more than a decade as the office manager for an Evansville electrical contractor. She has computer programming experience which will be useful in helping maintain the department’s web site.
