UE Students Attend Chi Epsilon National Conclave
Members of the University of Evansville's chapter of the Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society attended the 39th National Conclave of Chi Epsilon, which was held March 9-11 at the University of Missouri-Rolla. Representing UE at the Conclave were Larry Summers, UE Chapter President and Ben Sperry, Chapter Treasurer. Delegates at the Conclave attended business and committee meetings, networked with delegates from other schools, and listened to speakers discuss such topics as engineering ethics and the civil engineer's role in global community service. The UE Chapter also placed second in a poster contest with their poster entitled "Engineering Ethics Around the World." The 2006 Conclave is the first that the UE Chapter has participated in. The UE Chapter of Chi Epsilon was founded in January 2005 as the 128th nationwide chapter of the Civil Engineering Honor Society.
