ASCE Leaders Attend Conference in Tampa

University of Evansville Civil Engineering students Nick Waninger, Chris Bouchard, Kyle Jones, and Jacklynn Foote attended an ASCE Zone II Leadership Conference in Tampa, Florida on January 27-29, 2006. The students were introduced to several new ways of making ASCE a more enjoyable experience for civil engineering students. UE's delegation at the conference attended seminars on how to involve students in group projects, fund raise, build a better “community-involved” chapter, become a closer group on the individual level, and conduct meetings in a more efficient manner.

Overall, it was an excellent experience and very beneficial in helping the new ASCE officers gather information from other chapters on what can be done to make the University of Evansville chapter excel.
