Mechanical Engineers Take Top Prize at MESCON

The first annual Math Engineering and Science Conference on Undergraduate Research took place on Saturday, April 2 in Koch Center. There were 19 papers on the schedule in three parallel sessions. Areas represented included Biology, Chemistry, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering. Two technical judges read each paper and two presentation judges viewed each presentation. CONGRATULATIONS to the first place team winners for their project "Partial Combustion Reactions in Closed Volumes". The team is composed of mechanical engineering students Valerie Stringer, Eddie Cooper, Dan Schenk, Josh Butcher, and Jess Hulse.
